On 20th November 2021, a mock stock session was conducted by the Commerce and Economics Society for the students of classes eleventh and twelfth based on the workings of the stock exchange. Students who attended the competition were first familiarized with the process of trading and buying of shares followed by the explanations of the ways of the market. This commenced the competition and news items were shared with the students, who then analysed 15 company’s shares. A total of four minutes were given to trade and a further two minutes ensured that they understood the fluctuations in the share prices. After seven rounds and dedicated perseverance on the part of the participants, everyone passed with flying colours. The students were extremely patient and eager to learn and the event went smoothly. Despite there being a winner, all the students enjoyed themselves and experienced the incredible world of stocks. It was truly an enriching event!
